This feature allows you to update student info and contacts by pushing the desired K12 Online info back into Powerschool.

There are 2 separate sections where we do this. Update Student Information which updates the students, and Update Emergency Contacts which updates Student Contacts. Both sections behave the same way in terms of functionality so we will group and explain them together in this help doc.

All approvals may take up to 30 min to push, and MAKE SURE YOU APPROVE DELETED CONTACTS FIRST for Emergency Contacts!

Update Student Information

Navigation:  SCP > SIS > Update Student Information

  • To update your student information, you have to Select which updates you wish to push, and select Approve at the bottom.
  • You can select all on the page by checking off the corner box, or you can select each desired student that you wish to push.

  •  You can see the changes that will be made from the Old Data currently in Powerschool vs Current Data in K12 Online in the Data Comparison Column.
  • Approved changes will take up to 15 min to push the info into Powerschool. You can check and see which students and info successfully pushed by looking in the SIS Log in the Log tab.

Update Emergency Contacts

Navigation:  SCP > SIS > Update Emergency Contacts

  • To update your emergency contacts, It is the same process as updating student contacts. You have to Select which updates you wish to push, and select Approve at the bottom.
  • You can select all on the page by checking off the corner box, or you can select each desired student that you wish to push.
  • MAKE SURE YOU APPROVE DELETED CONTACTS FIRST! Do this by selecting the deleted contact approvals and pushing those first to Powerschool. Otherwise the system may try to upload too many contacts to a particular student. After you send out the deleted contacts, go ahead and approve all other changes in this section.

Navigation:  SCP > Log > View SIS Log for Student/Contact Update

  • Here you can View what was approved and whether or not it was successful in pushing and updating the info to Powerschool.
